This book does a good job of explaining the key concepts behind how the modern world works, and what led us to the current state. It does explain what you would need to know and do in order to restart the world from scratch, but it is written very generally and would not be particularly helpful in “how” to do something. It’s not a technical manual but more of a high level overview of the basic fundamentals of how things work. For each technology the book discusses, you’d need a much more detailed guide for step by step instructions.
As such, this was a fun read with a clever setting to frame the knowledge, but doesn’t serve as a true guide for “rebooting” civilisation.
