Book Review (4/5) – Competing Against Luck (Clayton M. Christensen)

The Job To Be Done framework makes sense from a theoretical perspective, and the examples provided in the book do back up the proposition such that it’s worth attempting to apply it in a real world scenario.
My main criticism is of how loose the framework seems to be. This book isn’t long but it is still quite wordy in how it describes the ideas. It doesn’t do a great job at providing a step-by-step guide of how to apply it, and how to use it to make decisions.
I will revisit this review when I have the opportunity to apply it in a real business context.
