The writing style is perhaps more informative than the book itself and being quite short means that it is a reasonable use of time just to see how Alda explains his ideas. He provides some good anecdotes as well as scientific evidence to back up his suggestions around empathy and the value of improv training, but there was little actionable advice about precisely what one should do to improve.
